It's that time again!

Time to make another stepping stone! We make a stepping stone for each girl's birthday, with the last stone being made on their 5th birthday. Yes, we know, by the time Elise is 5, we'll have 20 stepping stones...we can multiply. Blame Papa. He started it. Anyhoo, we finally got around to making Elise's two-year-old stepping stone today and she was very cooperative! Here's hoping it dries well and doesn't crack so that we don't have to do it over!

Neat idea...where are you putting them?

So cool! How do you make them?

We just use mortar mix and water and use the top my dad cut off a bucket as our form. I use colored rocks to spell out their name and put the number of their age. Sometimes I decorate it according to whatever theme they had for their birthday that year...like a rock painted like a ladybug or something. Then we put their handprint in. You can also buy kits to make the stones at craft stores like Michaels. Sometime I'll have to take pictures of all of them and post them. :)

I would love to see a picture of all of them sometime.
