Most of Christmas Eve was spent waiting…and waiting…and waiting…for Grandma to say it was time for presents. We had a wonderful ham dinner in the afternoon and the kids did a pretty good job of entertaining themselves, but every time any of us parents wanted anything from our kids we would say, “Do you want to open presents later? Well, then you better fill-in-the-blank.” It was so good to just BE together.
There were games of Spot-It
…and lots of smiles…
…and play time…(I love how the lion and the parrots are visiting the Nativity!)
…and games like Carcassonne…
…some silliness on the stairs…
…shared reading…
…more smiling cousins…
…making a mess with toilet paper while dressing Sarah up like a snowman…
…Hey! That turned out pretty well! But we sure did miss having the MI family members there with us.
