It is taking a while to get through all the things we did on our trip this summer! This was over a month ago that we did this! And of course, even more exciting things have happened since then that are yet to be posted…this is going to be one exciting blog for a while! Smile

Early Thursday morning we left the relatives behind (the cousins went back to school & Ed’s brother went back to work) and headed EAST (which is a bit of a new direction for us…usually we just drive North or South on I-5) 5 hours to Tempe, Arizona! We arrived early in the afternoon to the “Logos House” for our little mini-vacation. A couple years ago, Logos opened an office down in Arizona and the company bought a house there for the president to live in when he’s there (about one week per month or so) and for company retreats and for other company employees to use when they are in Arizona for a visit. It’s HUGE! And lovely. And comfortable. We spent a little while exploring the house and then headed off to spend the afternoon with our friends, the Dunkin’s, who moved to Arizona to help start the Logos office there. We swam in their pool and my friend Tam made an awesome dinner, which unfortunately I could not eat because I got sick from heat exhaustion and dehydration. It was about 110* when we were there, and while I didn’t feel too hot while we were outside (sitting in the shade in the pool), just before dinner I suddenly felt terribly dizzy and nauseous and had to lie down through dinner and even missed walking to Swirl It for a frozen yogurt dessert! Tam was an incredibly gracious host to my family and they let us go home so I could continue to rest and drink LOTS of water. The next day I beefed up my water consumption and felt pretty good, so the Dunkin’s came over to the Logos House to spend some time with us. More on that later…for now, here are the few pictures from our fun swimming time at the Dunkin’s.

Ed entertained the littlest Dunkin Munchkin with the rolly polly water toys – letting them go down the fountain like a water slide. It was so cute!
