Yellowstone Day 4

Guess what? It rained again on Day 4! It was our 20th anniversary, so we didn’t care too much about the rain. We headed into the park and drove through Firehole Canyon to check out the swimming hole…but we didn’t swim, of course.

It was a beautiful drive and this would have been a fun place to swim if it hadn’t been 60* and rainy.

The girls did a little bit of wading, though!

And some rock climbing!

Then we met up with the cousins for our hike to Fairy Falls! It was SO wet, but it was a great hike and we had a lot of fun.

I kind of felt like I was on a Christmas tree farm in December, hunting for the perfect Christmas tree…

After Fairy Falls, Ed & Eric went up another trail to see the Grand Prismatic from “above” – it was a little too muddy for us to take all the kids, but the big kids went along, too.

We drove to the cousins’ trailer for dinner and saw some wildlife along the way!

It wasn’t easy to say goodbye to the cousins, but we have possible plans for summer 2016!

Saw some more wildlife and pretty sights along the way back to the condo.
