People One friend has been asking me to blog. I think she’s one of about 6 readers…but if 1/6 of my readership is anxious for a blog update, then I will do my best to oblige as quickly as possible!
Family outing to Menchie’s – I think this was for Elise’s belated birthday dessert…but I don’t actually remember. I know we first walked around Whatcom Falls a bunch and took some practice Senior photos of Sarah.
Blackberries were early this year, and not abundant, and not super fat & juicy, and too early for my brother to enjoy on his visit, but we did enjoy our crusted cobbler!
This is an “after” work photo – except that she had already rinsed off at the hose out in the field…working on the raspberry picker is messy work, but Bethany loved it!
Sarah finally adhered her Ragnar car window sticker that we had given her for her birthday. True to her self, she wouldn’t put it on until she had actually completed the Ragnar.
The two girlie-girls ended up home alone for an afternoon, so we treated ourselves!
Summer nights…
My Grandma celebrated her 92nd birthday and many of her grandkids and great-grandkids were able to be with her for a little while one Saturday morning. We surprised her and she was quite touched. Such a blessing!
The lady (standing in the doorway) who has done my grandma’s hair for over 40 years even came and did grandma’s hair before the “party” – so special!
I wonder who those little girls all look up to…
Logos Faithlife Company Picnic!

Rule #2: Repeat Rule #1.
Rule #3: Start diet over the next day.
I wanted a gumball machine for my classroom. My sweet friend found me a gumball machine and I am now using it in my classroom! It is now more full of those yummy fruit sour candies that simply resemble gumballs…one cannot actually put gum in the mouths of Kindergartners at school. Bummer. (More classroom photos coming soon! Most of August was spent getting my room clean and ready!!)
Play-doh fun with other neighbors! We live in such a great neighborhood!
