10 (possibly) little-known facts about Bethany

1. At 8 days overdue, she was my biggest baby, weighing in at 9 pounds. She is now my most petite child.

2. She sucked her thumb from about Hour 6 of her life. She gave it up somewhere in Year 6 of her life. Like everything else, she did it on her own terms.

3. She is the most curious of all my children, continually asking the “why?” questions, and prompting many phone calls to her biology professor uncle because her mother just simply doesn’t know any answer other than “because God made it that way.”

4. I could listen to her sing for hours. She has a beautiful voice.

5. She is a very caring friend.

6. Her sense of justice will hopefully one day right some of the wrongs in the world.

7. At the age of two, her favorite toys that she had to have, everywhere she went, and at all times, were a 3-inch tall plastic “Larry the Cucumber” from Veggie Tales and a 2-inch tall plastic “Daddy” from her dollhouse.

8. She is very musical and very smart.

9. Once, when she was little, she ate the top half of a cupcake and left the bottom half on her plate. I asked her why she didn’t eat that part and she said, “Because I don’t like the crust.”

Of a cupcake?

10. She is a giggler.
