Both Becca & Elise are playing basketball this year. It’s Becca’s third year, but Elise’s first. Becca has really gotten into it and she plays hard. She’s not the star of the team, but she definitely contributes and it’s fun to watch her. I always know she’s worked hard physically when her arthritis flares up and her legs ache at night after a game. Thankfully a dose of ibuprofen always takes care of the inflammation and pain and she’s ready to go the next day. I’m just proud of her for playing hard when she knows she will be sore later!
She got to shoot two free throws in the first game, and both bounced off the rim. So close…
Elise? Well, that’s different. She’s had two games so far and I do think she is catching on a bit now, but the first game was hysterical…those little girls played defense whether or not they were on defense and kept pushing each other’s arms out of the way. It’s a riot to watch them. In her first game, Elise did have a fast break with the ball down the court and made the shot! Very exciting! No picture…I was too busy cheering.
