Waaaaaaaay back in June, Elise turned 8! And in our house, when you turn 8, you get to have your very first slumber party. Since we were at GEMS Camp on Elise’s birthday, and Summer Stock followed shortly after, her party was postponed until July 2-3. She had 4 friends over and they had fun swimming and giggling and doing typical 8-year-old-girl-party-stuff.
My sweet aunt & uncle allowed the girls to come swim at their pool since ours is not up yet, pending the pouring of the new patio. It was a beautiful day, but windy and the pool was in the shade, so the girls were a little wimpy about staying in for long periods of time, but eventually they “warmed up” and had a great time!
Becca was able to join in the festivities because what better friend is there than your sister?
Swimming was followed by Little Ceasar’s pizza, gifts, and dessert!
MMMMMMMmmmmmm! Zebra cake pops made by my neighbor! Apparently I didn’t get any pictures of the table set-up, but it was super cute with zebra and pink decorations!
Instead of treat bags, I bought all the girls matching pajama shorts! They loved them! Funny, it didn’t help them sleep much…
