As day 2 began, we set a pattern that was to continue throughout the week. Have a leisurely breakfast whenever we wake up (with kids in the house, it wasn’t late…), then go for a swim. Have lunch, nap/quiet time, swim some more, have dinner, then play games/watch a movie/more swimming until bedtime. Each day had something slightly different, but this was the general relaxed feel of life in Arizona.
Sitting around after breakfast, chatting, looking up stuff on the computer, etc. Sarah took this one from the stairs overlooking the great room area. Sarah gets photo credit for the majority of the AZ photos.

The “formal” living room, aka “study room”. These couches and chairs were sooooooo comfy.
Front door entryway
Pretty sure this is some hide & seek happening down the master bedroom hallway.
A little putting practice in the backyard
Looking towards the pool area from the patio. We loved that the entire pool was gated.
And the jumping begins…
Even Grandpa got in on the jumping!
And Josh decided to try jumping backwards!
Kinley’s having fun with Grandma in the pool. She started out the week saying “Help me!” every time she got to a part of the pool she couldn’t touch. But by the end of the week, she was swimming (with the puddle jumper, of course) the length of the pool and back with no assistance at all!
I relaxed for a while before heading into the pool myself.
Looks like Sarah played with the shutter speed a little.
Mr. Backwards Boy
Monkey see, Monkey do
And so begins the throwing/catching/jumping game…which they did for hours. Literally. Hours.
Dad & Ed & Michael all took turns being the thrower.
Got it! I think his record was 24 or 25 in a row?
Water baby happy with Grandma
Silly boy!
Throw me two!
So close, but close only counts in horseshoes…
Working on her swing.
Love, love, LOVE this picture of mommy & her girl!
Some afternoon game time.
And playing pool.
And electronics.
At dinner time we headed to a southwest chain called Café Rio (I think?) which features $1.95 tacos on Tuesday. It was a fun dinner out!
Followed by FRO YO!
Ended the evening with some night swimming before our second movie, Big Hero 6.
Worked on some upper arm strength while rock climbing. I think that picture of Sarah is quite epic – hanging on with one arm & all.
Bethany made it!
Lounging around and playing catch (ball went too high and isn’t in the picture).
And here’s Ed being groomed by the baby girl and the nephew. He’s got the patience of a saint.
Ta-da!

love these photos!
(the "formal" living room is really known as the room where Audra got to choose the furniture. she chose it b/c it's soft. bob doesn't like it. but he never spends time in there. he chose the leather in the other room!)
