Our Texas Trip, by Sarah & Bethany

We had lots of fun during Memorial Day weekend at our grandpa’s cabin in Texas. Of all the things we did there, I, Bethany loved hearing grandpa explain how he built his cabin. I also liked watching the birds and squirrels eating out of the feeders our grandpa prepared every morning. The deer were also lots of fun to watch.

There were a lot of fun things on our trip. But, I, Sarah, enjoyed watching the lightning storm on Monday night most. It was nothing like the rain we get here in Washington, and the lighting, along with the thunder, was like nothing I’ve ever seen before.

We also worked on projects in our grandpa’s work shop with him. We made stepping stones for our grandpa’s yard, and a windmill to take home. Grandpa also took us on a tour of the small town he lives in, and we even got to meet a couple of people. We watched movies on his cool TV, some of them being Blu-ray, and cooked special meals with Grandpa. We also played games together, and swam in the community pool.
