Arizona Day 4!

Our 4th day was slightly different than the rest because my SIL & I headed out in the morning to meet my AZ bestie at an antique mall for some girl time. For some crazy reason, we took no pictures of this event, not even the AWESOME vintage-style red cooler on wheels that my SIL bought for an amazing price. Let’s just say it’s good that I had to fly home and couldn’t buy anything large because otherwise we would have had to arm wrestle for it. Winking smile I’m so in love with her purchase and I am very excited for her to be able to use it at the gatherings she hosts. She is a fantastic hostess with impressive grace.

We had a lot of fun antique shopping and checking out Tam’s favorite spots in the antique mall. Then she took us to a great local place called Joe’s Farm Grill for lunch. The strawberry lemonade was DELISH, as was the rest of our lunch.

While we were doing that, this was happening back at the house:

Yep. Swimming. Surprise, surprise.

Some throwing attempts were made…

More practice is needed.

Then we met up with Ed & the girls (Ed was just the chauffeur, he headed back to the house after leaving the girls with us) to show off the jewelry & color extravaganza that is Charming Charlie. We made the girls close their eyes and we led them into the store. Tam took the picture as they opened their eyes!

It is big and beautiful and sorted by color! They sell necklaces, rings, bracelets, purses, wallets, iPhone cases, clothes, scarves, shoes, nail polish, & more! We spent about an hour (during “quiet time”) shopping and choosing items for ourselves and for friends back home. By the time an hour was up, the girls were anxious to get back to the house to their cousins and grandparents and to swim and enjoy the house some more. This made me even more glad that we ended up doing nothing else (like a children’s museum or something) outside the house – everyone was quite content and happy just hanging out for the entire week!

I’m certain the afternoon included lots of jumping and catching in the pool because there were competitions and all kinds of crazy antics going on…but apparently we were all enjoying ourselves far too much because there are no pictures. This may have been when the noodle jousting occurred…

After dinner we had game night!

And Sarah got out the tripod to attempt some star photos – great work!
